Doctors Care opens newest location on Palmetto Health Baptist Parkridge Hospital campus

Columbia, S.C. – Doctors Care P.A., South Carolina’s largest urgent care company, opened its 54th urgent care location this week on the campus of Palmetto Health Baptist Parkridge. Doctors Care Parkridge, located at 100 Palmetto Health Parkway, Suite 104, is inside the medical office building on the campus. The facility is open daily, 8 a.m.-8 p.m.

Doctors Care and Palmetto Health have recently collaborated to provide Midlands residents the very best access to appropriate health care – when and where they need it. The collaboration includes Doctors Care’s network of 14 urgent care locations in the Midlands for acute care needs, and the extensive network of providers in Palmetto Health-USC Medical Group and Palmetto Health Quality Collaborative for extended and specialized care.

According to Curtis Franke, M.D., acting president and chief medical officer of Doctors Care, this newest location is the lynchpin to the newly expanded relationship between the two health care entities. He said, “We are fortunate to work with such respected providers and support staff at Palmetto Health, and think our Midlands patients will realize a significant benefit from this thoughtful collaboration. Opening our newest location on the Baptist Parkridge campus will allow us to better serve a rapidly growing community, and will be an exceptionally convenient location to thousands of daily commuters — just a stone’s throw from I-26.”

Doctors Care Parkridge offers a convenient treatment option for acute health care needs for individuals and families. It contains five exam rooms plus in-office laboratory, spacious accommodations and ample parking.

Services available at Doctors Care include:

  • Urgent care and minor procedures (for sprains, fractures, lacerations, accident evaluation, burns, etc.)
  • Family care (such as sports physicals, X-rays, blood work, colds/strep/flu, sinus and allergy care)
  • Outdoor exposure treatment (dehydration, sunburn and insect bites, etc.)
  • Vaccinations (including tetanus, flu, pneumonia, hepatitis B, etc.)
  • Occupational health and workers’ compensation
  • Online check-in for any location so you can wait where you want
