Upstate Doctors Care Reopens With Occupational Health Mission

[GREENVILLE, S.C., June 7, 2021] – Doctors Care has reopened its Congaree location with a new focus on occupational health services such as pre-employment screenings and Workers Compensation care. The center at 701 Congaree Road, Greenville, had been closed since November 2020 to allow for COVID-19 curbside testing.

Patients still can receive walk-in urgent care at the Congaree location. However, its staff will concentrate primarily on occupational medicine and employer health services.

“When injuries occur on the job, you can rely on Doctors Care to provide the care your employees need to get better and the paperwork your organization needs to stay informed,” said Dr. Shelley Janssen, president and chief medical officer of Doctors Care. “We’re delighted to extend these services to the Upstate community, treating non-life-threatening injuries and helping employees return to work quickly.”

The center’s occupational health focus is meant to complement the health services and corporate health and wellness on-site services that Doctors Care offers to employers statewide.

Hours at the Congaree location will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Services offered will include:

  • Pre-hire physicals, DOT physicals
  • Drug screens, Breath alcohol testing
  • Audiograms and X-rays
  • Respirator clearance and spirometry
  • QuantiFERON TV-Gold blood testing
  • Hepatitis B injections/titer blood tests
  • Lab-contracted services
